Meet Sara.

Sara was the kind of kid that you fell in love with immediately. Sara had a long repertoire of jokes and loved to make people laugh and buy them gifts and look out for others. She kept in close contact with the people she loved. She was loving and kind and thoughtful – and she loved to do kind things for others.

One of my favorite memories of Sara is one day after getting up early and watching tv on a weekend morning, Sara saw an infomercial about kids in India who were hungry and needed help. Sara decided she wanted to help those children. She did a bunch of chores around the house trying to earn money to help those children.

Sara was diagnosed at 14 years old with brain cancer, and relapsed when she was 18.

Even during painful procedures Sara was a joy to be around.

She told phlebotomists that they were doing a great job when they had to poke her. She went through incredibly difficult and painful procedures before losing her battle to cancer at the age of 18. She died 11/22/2018.

I’m sure I will get more into Sara’s battle and journey through childhood cancer on here. But this page is to let you know about Sara’s Acts of Kindness – a foundation that is being set up to honor her memory and keep it alive.

Our goal at Sara’s Acts of Kindness is to fund research to help prevent this from happening to any other kids. We are excited to get started! Keep an eye on this page for further information!

Thanks! <3
